Extended Support Programme Evaluation

This independent evaluation of the Gifted Students Academy workshops over one academic year, at Radclyffe School in Oldham, took a mixed methods approach, drawing on quantitative student data, student and teacher questionnaires and qualitative data from student focus groups. The evaluator, Laura Mazzoli Smith, was present in the school for the start and end days of the project.

The aim of the evaluation was to assess the intervention according to learner engagement and outcomes, to include specifically impact on goals and aspirations, motivation and self-concept. The evaluation also looks at teacher development and the potential for whole school impact.

All the data, executive summary, conclusions and full report can be found here.

This was not a one-off piece of research, we have also been carrying out detailed evaluation of the work of the GSA supporting Ecclesfield School in Sheffield which will be available later in the year.

GT Voice Launch

GT Voice a new network for individuals and
organisations with an interest in gifted and talented education in the UK, launching this March.
