‘Gifted and Me’ workshop

This two day in-school workshop will support participants to:

  • Understand what it means to be ‘gifted
  • Develop self-awareness and self-identity
  • Understand their learning styles and personality types
  • Develop self confidence
  • Create an awareness of how they interact with their environment and others
  • Explore effective communication, teamwork and leadership skills
  • Begin exploring their goals and aspirations
  • Be introduced to powerful models of thinking, supporting them to raise aspirations and understand how best achieve their goals
  • Develop a personal development plan

Over these two days students will have a unique educational experience where writing is kept to a minimum and we never sit at desks.

The workshop includes much experiential learning, group tasks, games and lively discussion with a particular focus on responsibility, personal choice and self-determination.

We create a supportive environment whereby students not only take a responsibility for their own learning but also for others in the group.
